The Sacrifice

10:43 at night. About to head to sleep when bam. I remembered that I needed to write.

On any other day I would have gone back to sleep, given myself the day off to never return to the challenge again. But unlike the last couple of times, I made time to write.

It may not have been in the morning but it’s better than not doing it at all.

Which brings me to the topic for today.

Getting to a place you want requires some sort of sacrifice. I don’t mean going off and hunting some dear or a rabbit. I mean time and effort put in to something in order to get good at something, putting the money aside to have some later. It means giving up something precious in order to receive a reward.

My sacrifice today was my sleep. The next would be my time and attention.

You can relate this to that one law that states “nothing can be create nor destroyed.” It’s the same with us as human beings. We must let go of something in order to receive.

And I’m going to stop now because I feel like I’m getting into something religious.

If you want to continue reading my story throughout this challenge follow me here on medium. I hope you like what you read.
